OFA Forms Search Committee for New CEO

August 11, 2009 - 13:57

OFA — an Association of Horticulture Professionals — has established a search committee to make a recommendation on the organization’s new chief executive officer. The goal is to have a new CEO in place by January 2010. The organization's former CEO, John Holmes, died unexpectedly in February, and Jim Broderick has been filling in as interim CEO.

Bobby Barnitz of Bob’s Market & Greenhouse is chairing the search committee. Also serving are Chris Bernacchi of Ball Horticultural Company, Mark Foertmeyer of Foertmeyer & Sons Greenhouse, Lisa Graf of Graf Growers, Bob Jones of The Chef’s Garden, Ralph Ostendorf of Ostendorf Greenhouses and Kelly Staats of Eason Horticultural Resources.

OFA has retained Association Strategies Inc. to provide comprehensive executive search and transition management services. Those interested in the position should contact ASI's Jim Zaniello at (703) 683-0580 or jim@assnstrategies.com. For more information, visit OFA's website.
