Sakata Seed America participated in the American Heart Association’s eighth annual Heart & Stroke Walk in Monterey, California, to raise funds and awareness for heart disease and stroke.

Sakata Seed America participated in the American Heart Association’s (AHA) eighth annual Heart & Stroke Walk in Monterey, California, to raise funds and awareness for heart disease and stroke. The walk had more than 600 people participating, including 61 teams, and raised more than $60,000. Team Sakata took home the top team honor, having raised nearly $5,000, and the top walker honor, with Jamie Kitz raising $2,225. In addition to its support of the Heart Walk, Sakata also sponsored the AHA’s Go Red for Women Luncheon held in May 2014 and will be sponsoring and participating in the AHA’s National Eating Healthy Day on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014.
