Solar Panel Installation Complete at Becker Underwood Facility

Becker Underwood Inc. has announced the completion of the installation of 84 solar panels on their facility in St. Joseph, Mo., making it the largest private solar panel array in the city.

Becker Underwood Inc. - leader in the development and production of inoculants; beneficial nematodes; and biological, agricultural and horticultural products - has announced the completion of the installation of 84 solar panels on their facility in St. Joseph, Mo., making it the largest private solar panel array in the city. The solar panels will reduce the facility's carbon dioxide emissions by 789 tons over 25 years and produce renewable energy for the site.

The project was completed as part of Becker Underwood's overall sustainability strategy to protect and reduce the company's impact on the environment, as well as to reduce their exposure to increasing energy prices. Last year, the company began developing the framework for the implementation of its sustainability strategy, "NET Positive." This concept cultivates each of the three pillars of sustainability: economic growth, environmental stewardship and societal contributions.
