Registration is now open for the AAS Summer Summit (formerly known as the AAS Summer Meeting) taking place August 9 to 11, 2011.

You really shouldn’t miss this year! Not only does All-America Selections want to share the details behind their trialing process, but they also want you to meet their judges and learn of some exciting plans they have for the future. And, you’ll help AAS kick off their 80th anniversary, coming in 2012.

Join AAS in beautiful Monterey Bay for two and a half days of networking while learning more about All-America Selections and what’s in it for you. It’s an exciting time for AAS – they’re pulling back the curtain and sharing with the entire industry a rare, behind-the-scenes look. The agenda reflects this excitement and change and everyone is welcome to attend. Days are packed full of learning opportunities, trial visits, local stops of horticulture interest, networking, fun and food.

Just a few highlights:

Wednesday attendees will visit Sakata Seed, American Takii, Syngenta/Rogers Seed and Syngenta Flower’s Hecker Pass facility to view the AAS trials and American Garden Award display at those locations.

Thursday is a unique day centered around the vegetable and produce industry in and around Salinas, wrapping up with dinner at the historical National Steinbeck Center. One standout highlight on Thursday is a panel discussion with growers, retailers and brokers to focus on the benefits and merits of the AAS Trialing program and Winner promotions.

A full description of the two and a half days of events can be found on the AAS website.
